Psychology People are a specialist provider of Locum and Permanent Educational Psychology and SEN recruitment services to Local Authorities and Schools across the UK and we are seeking an Educational Psychologist on a Permanent and Locum basis.

Psychology People are looking for an Experienced and Qualified Educational Psychologist to join it’s clients supportive and welcoming  EPS team within a Local Authority.

Educational Psychologists are part of the Education Inclusion Service (EIS), an integrated service including Assistant Psychologists, Inclusion Practitioners (supporting the inclusion of children with social interaction and communication difficulties) and Advisory Teachers for Behaviour. They also support Trainee Educational Psychologists on placement.

High pupil achievement, innovative approaches to the development and delivery of services, and a framework of partnership with schools, parents and voluntary bodies are key features of working with our client. The team has an influential role in the development and implementation of council policy and strategy and is involved in supporting national developments and initiatives. For example, educational psychologists are involved with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and Schools Link Pilot Scheme (Future in Minds). They provide a rolling programme of Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) training to schools and also co-deliver the Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) training to a wide range of organisations.

Educational Psychologists are highly valued by our client and by the children and young people, families, schools and other educational settings that we support. They currently work within a non-traded service model where Educational Psychologists are encouraged to apply psychology creatively in order to contribute to  priority areas. All Educational Psychologists are encouraged to contribute to strategic developments and to develop an area of special interest. They are actively involved in organising and delivering a number of highly rated network support events, including termly SENCo forums, annual conference for SENCos and forums for further education student support staff.

Psychology People would like to hear from fully qualified HCPC registered Educational Psychologists to join our client on a permanent basis to deliver a psychological service to children, families and schools and other educational settings. We also invite those who are interested in working for us on a part-time basis to contact us.
